Youthful Green was created to provide children with an educational, fun and safe online experience, and we take care that our content is suitable for children, especially those under the age of 13.

1. The information we collect

Every user can visit and enjoy the greeninfosource.com site and all of its content without registering or sharing any personally identifiable information. The only time we will ever collect personally identifiable information is when a user participates in a contest, sweepstakes, or other similar program.

To participate in a contest sponsored by Green Earth Ventures, greeninfosource.com collects from the user their name, school, grade, and the email addresses of the child and his or her parent or legal guardian.

Before any contest entry submitted by a child is eligible for the contest, Green Earth Ventures sends an email to the parent or legal guardian informing them that their child has requested to enter the contest and asking for the parent or guardian's permission by following the instructions in the email notification.

A parent or guardian may refuse to allow their child to enter the contest by responding to the email notification. If, however, the parent or guardian does not responding to the email notification within 2 days, we will assume you have consented to your child’s entry and full participation in the contest. Once the 2 day opt-out period passes, the entry information is used only for the purposes of the contest.

Finally, when visitors come to our site, we automatically collect some non-personally identifiable information, such as the type of computer operating system (e.g., Windows XP or Mac OS), the user's "IP Address," the web browser (e.g., Firefox, Internet Explorer) being used, and the referring website.
